Bartlett - Established 1884 in New York City

2003 Syrah, Santa Barbara County

Vineyard selection for this wine was Santa Rita Hills ( Zotovich Vineyard) and the Royal Oaks vineyard in Santa Ynez with a small amount of Orcutt fruit for depth. 1 year French barrel fermented and finished. The complexity is phenomenal. It makes a great deep berry, earthy, and spicy rich wine, that is bold and strong, yet incredibly pleasing. Pronounced tannins are velvety. Tannins and berries linger on the palette after each sip. Deep expression captures your pallet throughout the wine. Good acid balance will give this wine time to age and become even smoother.
